SizeFit FAQ & Support
Fewer wrong-size returns, with charts and a fit finder you can explain.

What SizeFit does
SizeFit by Instafluff adds two things to your Shopify product pages:
- A clear size chart — per product, collection, tag, or store-wide, built from templates or a CSV import, with automatic cm/inch switching, in a fast storefront modal.
- A rule-based Fit Finder — shoppers enter a couple of measurements (or a size they already wear in a brand they know) and get a recommended size for that product — plus, when they're near a size boundary, a plain-language note on how it will feel and a nudge to size up or down, with the reason.
It also gives you a returns-avoided dashboard that estimates the returns and dollars you saved, and one-click data export of every chart and rule.
SizeFit does one thing well: clear size charts and a rule-based fit recommendation that cut wrong-size returns. It is not a returns/exchanges manager, a body-scanning AI, or a reviews app.
How charts and the Fit Finder work
How do I create a size chart? Start from a template (tops, bottoms, shoes, rings, or a generic chart) or import a CSV, then assign it store-wide, by collection, by product, or by tag. New products in an assigned collection pick up the chart automatically.
Is the Fit Finder AI? No. It is a deterministic rule engine you configure per chart — the shopper's inputs are matched against thresholds you set, so the recommendation is fast, predictable, and free to run. Even the one-click "smart-generate" is deterministic: it derives a starter rule from your chart's own measurement columns as an authoring aid, not runtime AI. No machine guessing, no per-shopper inference cost.
What is "between-sizes" advice? When a shopper's measurements land near the edge of a size, SizeFit doesn't just pick one — it names the recommended size, describes how that size will feel, and nudges them up or down with the reason (e.g. "near the top of M — size up to L for a relaxed fit"). Rounding the wrong way at a size boundary is the most common cause of wrong-size returns, so this is where the finder earns its keep. The "room" it mentions is described honestly as about N cm between your measurement and the edge of that size — not a promised garment looseness, since we can't know whether you entered body or garment-flat measurements.
Where does the Fit Finder appear for shoppers? When you've turned on the Fit Finder, "Find my size" becomes the primary button on the product page and "Size chart" sits beside it as the secondary button. On Free, or before you've configured a fit rule, shoppers just see the "Size chart" button — so the experience always matches what you've set up.
Do shoppers have to re-enter their size on every product? No. A shopper answers once — the size they usually wear and how they like it to fit — and SizeFit remembers it for every product on your store, so each one shows their size instantly. The remembered profile is anonymous, contains no personal data, and stays in the shopper's own browser, scoped to your store only — no account, no login.
Are there limits on how many recommendations the Fit Finder can make? No. The Fit Finder makes unlimited recommendations on the flat $14/mo Pro plan — no per-shopper fees, no metered credits, and no charges tied to your order volume. Your price is the same whether it runs ten times or ten thousand.
What languages does the storefront widget support? The size chart, Fit Finder, and recommendation copy automatically display in 6 languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese — matched to your storefront's active language, with no setup or configuration. If a shopper's language isn't one of the six, the widget falls back to your store's primary language, then English. The labels you type into your own charts are shown as you enter them (they are not auto-translated).
Will the size-chart widget slow down my store? No. The storefront widget loads asynchronously and the modal is lazy-loaded, so it never blocks your product page from rendering.
Does SizeFit work for shoes, accessories, and rings — not just clothing? Yes. Charts are flexible columns and rows, with starter templates for tops, bottoms, shoes, rings, and a generic chart you can adapt to any measurable product.
Free vs Pro
What's the difference between Free and Pro? Free ($0 forever): up to 3 size charts, core templates, cm/inch switch, the 6-language storefront widget, and one-click data export — with a small SizeFit watermark on the widget. Pro ($14/mo, 14-day free trial): everything in Free plus unlimited charts, the Fit Finder with unlimited recommendations, the returns-avoided analytics dashboard, no watermark, and founder-run support.
What happens if I stop paying for Pro? Your store drops to the always-active Free plan. Your basic size charts keep showing to shoppers — a billing gap never hides your charts. Pro capabilities (Fit Finder, analytics, no watermark) pause until you resume.
How is billing handled? All charges are processed through the Shopify Billing API and billed via your existing Shopify account. SizeFit never receives or stores your payment-card details.
Data, export & privacy
Do you store any customer data? No. The Fit Finder takes anonymous body measurements for a single shopping session to compute a recommendation. SizeFit stores no names, emails, or identifiable customer data. Fit events are anonymous (session id, product, recommended size, timestamp).
Can I export my data? Yes — one click to CSV or JSON for all your charts and rules, on every plan including Free. Your data is never held hostage.
Are the "returns avoided" numbers guaranteed? No — they are a clearly-labelled estimate. SizeFit multiplies matched fit recommendations by your baseline wrong-size return rate and an assumed reduction factor, and shows every assumption inline. It is a directional business signal, not a measured refund figure.
